Shigana

Shigana means religion of emotion.

Shiganak are the belief systems to which the ensali tribes have devoted themselves and designed their lives around.

Each tribe has their own shigana designed around a different emotion.

Each shigana has a different deity, which they call an aza, statutes, and values, but every shigana condemns the interbreeding of tribes.

The Eight Shigana

Zusugana - Religion of Happiness

Aza: Ekses

Tribe: Wuwisalsan

Zusugana emphasizes feeling good and avoiding the things that will damper your mood.

Followers of zusugana are heavily involved in the most stimulating and enjoyable endeavors of life.

Purugana - Religion of Sadness

Aza: Yagdret

Tribe: Mumosalsan

Purugana wallows in the pain of life and views life from the perspective of suffering.

Purugana followers attempt to embrace all the pains of life, even those that are not theirs, for the sake of purification.

Wutangana - Religion of Seriousness

Aza: Ringbo

Tribe: Kurasalsan

Wutangana is a religion of control, order, and focus.

All fun and games are abandoned by followers of wutangana in exchange for a life of purpose through work and discipline.

Kargana - Religion of Anger

Aza: Otenimp

Tribe: Butusalsan

Kargana is about objection and retribution. It preaches disdainful expressions and retaliation for offenses.

Do not cross a follower of kargana or be prepared for a response; one that could be outsized and exaggerated to the offense.

Chogana - Religion of Pride

Aza: Fals

Tribe: Zupasalsan

Chogana calls on its followers to elevate themselves through self-aggrandizement and achievement.

One may be asked to bow before a follower of chogana. Do not take offense for this is merely an expression of how much they think they are better than you.

Zogana - Religion of lowliness

Aza: Tuul

Tribe: Lilesalsan

Zogana promotes service, equality, and abandonment of status.

Zogana followers are compelled to assist and serve at your leisure, and they would truly appreciate it if you extended the same courtesy to them; it’s only neighborly.

Gurogana - Religion of Courage

Aza: Redinelaan

Tribe: Pufosalsan

Gurogana demands an uninhibited lifestyle that is ungoverned by anything other than breaking limits.

It’s not uncommon to hear of or witness a gurogana follower lose their lives in the pursuit of a challenge. But they believe life (and death) is more fun with some risk.

Atagana - Religion of Fear

Aza: Igno

Tribe: Shusalsan

Atagana prioritizes life and well-being over all else.

The responses to fear are fight, flight, and freeze. A follower of atagana seeks to master all three as a means to preserve the one thing in life that cannot be done without: life itself.
