Power System
The Eight Skills
There are eight skills: Limgoyo, Oengoyo, Speed, Power, Stamina, Control and Intelligence.
The eight skills correspond to eight openings in the ensali body.
Flowing the energy sum through these openings allows a sumbanwe (spirit warrior) to tap into incredible power.
Yagoyo
Yagoyo is translated as embodiment.
There are three yagoyok: limgoyo, oengoyo, and hevgoyo.
Limgoyo is translated body form. Oengoyo is translated soul form. Hevgoyo is translated mind form.
These three yagoyok are the methods of attack for a sumbanwe.
Limgoyo
Limgoyo is hand-to-hand combat for ensali. It is about adapting the body for any situation.
Each tribe has a different style of limgoyo that suits their skills and method of physical expression.
The eight limgoyo styles are Feint, Smash, Control, Quick, Shock, Divert, Balance, and Sever.
A sumbanwe can have their own interpretation of the style to create their own unique style.
Limgoyo can also produce techniques and abilities that adapt the body for hand-to-hand combat.
Oengoyo
Oengoyo is the method by which desires are manifested into abilities.
The shape and effect the oengoyo takes on is dependent on user perspective and intent. The best oengoyo have shapes that maximize the effects.
Oengoyo can take on natures like fire, water, etc. Using natures has benefits and drawbacks.
Natures correspond to emotions: Happiness manifests wind. Sadness manifests water. Seriousness manifests wood. Anger manifests fire. Pride manifests lightning. Lowliness manifests metal. Courage manifests rock. Fear manifests ice.
Hevgoyo
Hevgoyo is a mental craft that takes thoughts and ideas and projects them into reality.
Hevgoyo has three basic types: mind manipulation, creation, and interaction.
Mind manipulation is the ability to project sum into someone’s mind to alter their state of mind. This can alter their emotions, their senses, and more.
Creation is the ability to create physical constructs and visual images. Anything that can be built or seen can be created.
Interaction is the ability to interact with the physical environment. Interaction alone is difficult to do, so it is often paired with creation to create an object that facilitates the interaction.
Speed
Speed can be summarized as the ability to move from one point to the next.
Speed’s primary usage is to be able to evade and bypass hindrances and obstacles.
The speed skill allows for the use of techniques and abilities that can make it impossible to stop someone from reaching their desires and damage anyone who tries.
Power
Power is the toughness of a sumbanwe. It is about fortifying oneself in every way.
The higher the skill in power the more invulnerable the sumbanwe.
The power skill can give way to techniques and abilities that make a sumbanwe invulnerable.
Stamina
Stamina has two components: sum and physical endurance.
Sum is the energy source by which yagoyo and all techniques and abilities are actualized. Sum is also a source of vitality that keeps a sumbanwe alive.
Physical endurance is the amount of physical movement and work that can be done before fatigue occurs.
Through the stamina skill, sumbanwe develop techniques and abilities that improve the quality and quantity of sum and physical endurance.
Control
Control is the ability to manipulate and fine tune sum to bolster its properties or effects.
Control is the all-around skill because it can alter and enhance the properties of all the yagoyo. With the wide-ranging capabilities of the yagoyo, the Control skill can help elevate the fighting style of any sumbanwe.
Intelligence
Intelligence is the natural ability to process information, understand, and plan, as well as the total accumulated knowledge that can be beneficial at any given moment.
Intelligence is a completely intangible skill. It can be measured to an extent, but it cannot be completely accounted for in a fight. As such, the knowledge a sumbanwe gleans and the way they use it can be the deciding factor in any fight.
The intelligence skill allows for techniques and abilities focused on perceiving, gaining understanding, and scheming a way to victory.
